  • A Day of Anger and Sadness

     I was taking a quick break at work to-day when I checked Yahoo News and learned of the shooting rampage at Virginia Tech that left at least 33 dead and at least 15 wounded.  It hits home because I attended that university.   I had at least 5 engineering classes in Norris Hall where the College of Engineering main office also is.  I walked through AJ (Ambler Johnston) porticos when I walked to class from the dorm and dining hall.  I am certainly angry and offended at what the murderer did.  However, I am sad because of the victims and of the bad mind of the murderer.   However, our Lord God is Sovereign and allows certain things for His Glory and for other sinless reasons.  He is still God of Virginia Tech, God of Virginia, and God of the Universe.

  • amen.  He is still LORD.  dad is pretty shook up about the whole thing as well, as he was around those buildings so much with his engineering classes.  he is actually in culpepper right now- and has been so saddened. 

  • I've been reading blogs of Hokies and am encouraged to find that several are holding strong in their faith.  God is certainly still sovereign, regardless of what evil takes place here.  Thank you for this post - My prayers are for the families and students... and that many would enter a relationship with God as a result of this event.  Truly only He can bring good out of evil.
