  • My first (virtual) air crash in a while

Last night, I was flying AZ flight 623 (Alitalia 623) from Washington-Dulles (IAD) to Milan-Malpensa, Italy (MXP).   I crashed into a 14,000' mountain in the Italian Alps about 30 miles NW of Milan in the darkness of night.  As I only flew around Milan once (daylight AND IFR), I was unfamiliar with the terrain.  There was a group of India-bound pastors and missionaries on board among the 250 passengers.  Fortunately, they were alive and miraculously and instantaneously healed, and their luggage only suffered minor scratches.

I'm redoing the flight today, but I routed the flight to steer clear of the mountain.
