  • According to oral history passed down from my family, I also have Confederate ancestry. I cannot find key documents to prove it probably because they were burned in the Civil War. Also, my reputed Native American ancestors apparently refused to document their race because at the time mixed race marriage was illegal. Sometimes it is hard to prove the accuracy of family history because of record keeping problems like these.

  • Hi, I couldn't  help noticing on your blog that you have the Christ' Covenant Banner! I saw that this year!! I went to Northern Ireland and Scotland for two weeks and toured the Magdalen Church and saw that same banner and guess what I have ancesters that were of  the sub-clan of the Lamonts who were French Huguenot's! I also have Confederate ansetor's one in which we don't like to mention seeing how he was a turncoat!! I really like the flag as well! very good! Go CSA!!
